限定 ANA Gundam!

A good friend of mine flew ANA recently and took advantage of the promotion going on in cooperation with Bandai. What a great guy! What this means is that I got my hands on one of the limited edition 1/144 ANA RX-78-2! This kit is based on the 1/144 HG 30th Anniversary Gundam except that it is Titanium Finish! (or is it 'Extra Finish'?) Either way, it's shiny and I dig it.

I couldn't wait to put it together so this past Sunday morning, with my lovely assistant at my side, I opened the box and set to it.

Here's a look at the contents of the box. Polycaps, ANA special marking stickers, and shiny runners!

After about 40 minutes we came up with this:

It was a fairly intense and tiring 40 minutes.

I took it to work the next day and put it in the photo setup hoping to get some good pictures to show to everyone the special finish.

An enjoyable build couple with the shiny finish means good value for my as-yet-unpaid 3000 yen. If you bloggers out there can find a way to pick up this kit I highly recommend it. One thing of note, the special ANA stickers are very thin and highly adhesive so if you make a mistake in placement it will be difficult to pull off and redo. I made a bit of a mess with one of the shoulder stickers (which I hid by positioning the kit in specific ways for the photos. hehe)

  5. @mangyver5223: Bling Bling looking indeed. I didn't realize it was extra finish until I opened the box. Nice surprise, it was.

    @bloggermathai: Not really any nub problems. Aside from the legs, the nubs are in inconspicuous places for the most part.

    @G.G. : You'll love it, I'm sure.

    @Tonzo: ya, the stickers are really good. Perfect fit for where they are supposed to go. The trick is getting them there.

    @GunStray: Good luck on Ebay! There's treasure to be found!
